CAMBRIDGESHIRE Townhouse's are becoming quite commonplace on new build site as the cost of building land increases so do the desire to squeeze as many properties onto a site as possible. This means that each home is only allocated a minimal amount of garden. As the buildings are quite tall and imposing strong designs are important to keep the viewers eye at ground level, avoiding the claustrophobic impression the viewer gets from glancing up at the tall edifice. Good design is also important to get the most from the small space. Here you'll see the wheelie bins concealed behind a trellis and faux pergola and paths that zigzag to the gate making the garden seem bigger. Small size units of paving have been used and small sized multiples of other features all this creates an illusion of more space. Click on the images to see larger versions
